FAQ

Questions, answered.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Dragon Connector is free to attend, and lunch is included.

When and where is it?

On Saturday 19 December 2026, from 08:00 to 20:00 in Da Nang. The planned venue is Swinburne University Vietnam; we confirm the venue when registration opens.

Who can take part?

Anyone who wants to build: developers, designers, product people and students, including first-timers. Participants under 18 need a parent or guardian’s signed consent.

How big can a team be?

Up to 4 people. You can also come alone and find teammates in the app or at the start of the day.

What do we build?

A mobile app on Solana, unless a presenting sponsor sets a different theme. You pick one of up to three tracks.

Do I need a Solana phone?

No. Any Android phone or emulator works, and web apps that run on a phone are welcome.

Does our code have to be public?

Yes. Submit a public GitHub repository by code freeze at 16:30. Judges only score projects they can open. You keep ownership of your code.

Can we start before the day?

You can plan, design and set up your tools. The code you submit must be written on the day; open-source libraries and templates are fine if your README lists them.

How are prizes paid?

In VND by bank transfer, or in goods. Never in crypto. Prizes over VND 20 million carry 10% personal income tax, which the payer withholds.

Is this a Solana Mobile event?

No. Dragon Connector is independent and is not run or endorsed by Solana Mobile.

What language is it in?

English and Vietnamese. Talks are in English, and the crew speaks both.

Is it overnight?

No. It is a single day, from 08:00 to 20:00.

How do I register?

Join the waitlist in the participant app now. Registration opens in the app soon, and waitlist members hear first.

How can my company sponsor?

See the sponsor page for the four tiers, or book a 15-minute call with Matt.

Every prize is paid in VND or goods, never in crypto. Dragon Connector is an independent event. It is not run or endorsed by Solana Mobile.
